Lauren’s taste for adventure began during her semester abroad in Kenya and Tanzania. It was there that she climbed a 14,000-foot peak by day and slept with goats in a dung hut by night. She later spent two years in Central America and Mexico teaching English and volunteering. She travelled throughout the region alone by bus stopping at beaches, volcanoes and ruins whenever the mood struck her. Her adventurous spirit took her to Boston where she taught English for 10 years and met hundreds of people from all over the world. Most recently her company sent her to China and Hong Kong, and she was not afraid to practice her Mandarin skills with the locals. When she’s not traveling, Lauren ski races competitively at high speeds. She’s also a diehard foodie and craft beer connoisseur.
